My nephew, James, was baptized last week, and we all flew out to Cali for it. It was so nice going to see family. It was a little bit crazy on the travel days going to CA and coming home to TX, but other than that, we had a lovely trip.
Uncle Adam, James, Jordan, Annabelle, Kimberly, and Megan
The Lyman Family
The whole gang
Grandma and Grandpa Lyman (from Logan UT), Grandpa and Grandma Tringham (from Arroyo Grande CA), Uncle Tom and Aunt Pattie Tringham (from Paso Robles CA), and the Pieroni family (from San Antonio TX). Quite a group!
James Newell. Such a sweet boy!
While in California, we saw many different things. On Monday we played a game of badminton with cousins and Grandpa, and then we drove up to Morro Bay for some fish and chips and clam chowder, and on up to San Simeon to see thousands of elephant seals on the beach. On Tuesday, we did some homework, shopping with my sister, and then go out to all you can eat pizza at Klondikes. Yummy! On Wednesday, we went to Grover Beach and had a campfire with hot dogs and smores. So beautiful! On Thursday, we went to the Monarch Butterfly grove, out to lunch at In n Out, and then a drive through See Canyon. So beautiful! On Friday, was more homework and then a date out with the 3 couples to Old Juan's Cantina and a special treat at Doc Burnstein's Ice Cream Parlor. For some reason, the camera only made it to the butterfly grove and the trip through See Canyon. Kinda mad at myself for that. Oh well!
These are not leaves on the tree. They are a big cluster of Monarch Butterflies. So amazing!
Kimmy says when she looked through the telescope, you could see all of the butterfly wings fluttering. (She wanted me to write this down).
Monarch caterpillar
Such pretty little creatures
As you come on up and over this hill in See Canyon, this is the view you see. You can see the whole upper central coast, including Morro Bay, Los Osos, and San Luis Obispo. It was soooo beautiful!

Great pictures! I love the pic of Megan & Kimmy, they are so pretty! We had such a fun week with you. My kiddos went into severe depression after you left :(. Thank you so, so much for coming out for Jamie's baptism!! Love you!
That's so sweet you guys got together for his baptism. What a sweet family you have that you do those things for one another. Love all the pictures!
Kristen,
This is the only way I know how to contact you since I have bookmarked your blog.
I was wondering if you could tell me how to make the Rapunzel hair that you made for your girls.
My granddaughter is turning 4 and would love to make it for her.
I love seeing your sweet family and how they are growing. You are a good mom.
