10th- I am thankful for my car
It may be BIG. It may be a pain when trying to back up. It may not be the easiest to pull into a parking spot. It may not be very economical. But my Ford Expedition EL (extended length) has been so wonderful to have for the last couple of years. Anything can fit on top of it or in it no matter how heavy or big. It is very smooth while driving, and it can accomidate 7 children a couple of mornings a week for the carpool. Kevin has been through many adventures in our 10 years of marriage with me and our first economical car. When we had the Honda Accord, loved that car too, it was really great for a newly married couple like us. When I was 7 months pregnant, I specially ordered a rocking chair and a couple of weeks before our little boy joined us we went to go pick it up. It was going to be made by the Amish, a couple of hours up the road, in Lancaster, PA. So we hopped into our 2 door Honda Accord and drove on up there. When the owner of the store and the man who made the rocking chair for the past 2 months, saw the vehicle in which he was to put his precious wood work, he said, "This is not going in that car." However, we found a way to make it fit; me 9 months prego in the back seat and the front passenger seat laying all the way down with the rocking chair resting on it. There are a few more stories like this with our little Honda: tying a mattress and bed on the roof and going down the 15 southbound from SLC to Provo going approx. 40 miles per hour; and going on a Sunday drive in the back mountains of American Fork and trying to go uphill on a dry riverbed. So, after a few of these wonderful experiences, we decided to buy a bigger car. And, so far, we have loved it!

That is a hilarious story involving the two-door Honda and the Amish handmade wooden rocker. I can only imagine. The bed and mattress tied to the top creates a funny mental picture, as does Kevin's opinion of the afternoon drive up the canyon and careening through river beds :).
