On Tuesday, we went to the old mining town of Skagway Alaska. Such a pretty, quaint town!

Trail used by the gold miner's in later 19th century. You can still see it there because there were so many men and horses headed up this trail to the Yukon. The gulge that they traveled through is called Dead Horse Gulge because of all the horses that died on the way up. It is named by the author Jack London (Call of the Wild and White Fang) who witnessed this first hand.

SOOOOO COLD!
On Wednesday, we went to Tracy Arm Fjord. There are no words to describe the immense beauty that we saw! John Muir, a naturalist who is famous about his research in Yosemite, came up here and thought that it looked a lot like Yosemite. When he came up to Tracy Arm Fjord, he realized that glaciers formed not only this great valley, but also Yosemite.
The Sapphire Princess Cruise ship (our sister ship) coming around the corner from seeing Sawyer Glacier. The ship is HUGE, but looks so tiny compared to the immense mountains behind it.
When the ice has a blue glow it means that it is so compact and dense. So pretty!

It was pouring rain and super cold, but there were tons of these harbor seals just sleeping on this chunks of ice.

The colors of the water and glaciers is surreal. And the size of those mountains is amazing! I bet it was just breathtaking seeing it close up.
So gorgeous! The train ride must have been amazing. I love the mommy seal and her pup. So cute! It looks freezing cold, but absolutely incredible too. What an awesome experience. You guys look dashing all dressed up for the formal night :).
