A Garden Party

We had a garden party for Megan Saturday afternoon, and she had her lovely friends over to make garden hats and flower pots. Her birthday party is a little bit earlier than her actual birth day (June 30th) because of the move too. She definitely wanted to celebrate her birthday with these special friends that she has made. She will be so sad to leave them! Megan was so excited to have her friends over to her house!
Decorating their goodie bags
Here are the girls decorating their garden hats. I got the hats, flowers, and ribbons at the dollar store, and the girls picked out the color ribbon and flowers they wanted. Then they had to arrange them on the hat the way they wanted, and we glued them on. This was so much fun, and the girls did a great job!

Then we put garbage bags over the girls to protect their clothes, and they painted their own flower pots. This was such a great activity! I expected this activity to last a little longer then it did, but the girls made quick work of painting.

We made dirt cake for the birthday cake and put it into a flower pot. It turned out super cute, and the girls thought it was so neat to eat out of a flower pot.
We put gummy worms in it to make it look more realistic too.

Here are the girlies in the beautiful garden hats. Such a fun group of girls! It was a very fun party!
Happy (early) 7th birthday Megan! You are such a sweet, lovely little girl and we love you very much!
